Rome, May 12, 2025 - Great participation and positive feedback for the event "Fiorenza... hands full of flowers," held last May 10 at the Cometa Off Theater in Rome. An event that combined theater, inclusion and intercultural dialogue, involving the audience in an emotional journey through stories of social hardship, exclusion and rebirth.
The evening opened with greetings from Carlo Palumbo, Deputy Secretary General of Welcome Association Italy (WAI), who said:
"This event represents a concrete example of our commitment to using culture as a tool for awareness and inclusion. Through life stories, art and dialogue, we want to stimulate a collective reflection on the social issues that run through our communities, while creating a bridge between the different realities present in our country."
Foad Aodi, president of theAssociation of Foreign Doctors in Italy (AMSI), offered a special talk on "Social Distress and Intercultural Healthcare: Building a More Inclusive Future," emphasizing the crucial role of intercultural healthcare as a tool for integration and social cohesion.
The play "Fiorenza...hands full of flowers," with original lyrics and music by Ettore Caterino and an intense performance by Valeria Petri, moved the audience, telling a true story of exclusion and rebirth through words, music and movement.
Special thanks go to all Welcome Association Italy partners who supported and participated in the initiative, with special recognition to Foad Aodi for his valuable contribution and Vu Thi Bich Diep, President of theAssociation of Vietnamese Students in Italy (ASVI), for her presence and the positive feedback expressed on the event.
In addition, during the meeting with Chairwoman Vu Thi Bich Diep, prospects were opened for collaboration in organizing new cultural initiatives in line with Welcome Association Italy 's mission to promote intercultural dialogue and integration through art and culture.
The evening ended to warm applause from the audience, testifying once again to the value of culture as a tool for social awareness, inclusion and growth.
