Virtual Museum: the DAMA Gallery

The Welcome Association Italy trade union promotes assistance to its members. Assistance, the real cornerstone of our work, takes the form of different ways, from the provision of our Welcome Packages for non-EU, and Italian citizens, in search of accommodation, to the provision of university services. The possibility of using these services derives from the large network of collaborations and partnerships that the union has created throughout its history. Today we will talk about a collaboration with an artistic-associative connotation, namely the DAMA Galleria.

DAMA Galleria: virtual museum for digital arts

DAMA is a digital art museum where visitors and emerging and non-emerging artists are free to explore and exhibit digital works. The idea of the digital gallery is not recent. The use of new technologies has allowed us to see things differently, and art has changed thanks to them and with them. With these premises, the DAMA Project aims to give voice to a genre of art that cannot take advantage of the more traditional exhibition concepts. The digital space, the intangibility of the works, and the absence of physicality are just some of the elements that characterize the visitor experience. DAMA is a digital space, between a videogame and a museum, where the visitor can experience what the artists want to communicate with their works. The pieces tell what we usually look at, hear and perceive, leaving the viewer free to attribute a meaning to it. Art evolves in conjunction with the technological potential at our disposal. This is the idea behind the DAMA project, a micro-universe that by updating itself creates novelties and new artists within everyone's reach.

DAMA and Welcome Association Italy

DAMA and the Welcome Association Italy union share the theme of integration. The goal of this collaboration is to give space and unite artists from all parts of the world, adding diversity and uniqueness to the digital museum, and including every type of culture in a gallery that has no geographical limits.
